If anyone is planning a new build.....stock up now! I just got word that by the end of December PVC / ABS and all similar products will be increasing 10 -15%. This is due to the U.S.D. and environmental costs.

We ( the plumbers) had 10% increase at the beginning of the year, then @5% more in summer. Now another 10-15%. F)<# ! Not to mention all the dam WSIB changes and College of trades fees. How in the hell are we suppose to make $ to stay in business? But that's the government. And they wonder why people work for cash......

I may take you up on that offer. Do you go as far as Ingersoll. Have to wait and see what I find and when.

My office in London might have "jurisdiction" on that, but they are asshats over there so maybe I can convince my boss to do it anyways. The distance is fine. Looks about 50 minutes. Shoot me a PM when/if the time comes and we can go from there. I sell York, Carrier, Trane.

Sorry to hijack your thread. It's a common thing with trades with the dollar though. People should know in general prices are going WAY up, for a lot of things.

Well ..... Anyone in the construction industry is all too familiar with the splinters. You know, the ones received from the barrel that we're bent over by the government. At no point has Canada Revenue EVER bought me dinner after. And they wonder why so many guys do things under the table. I can't compete with handyman Joe's cash only jobs. Until I go in and fix it all.

Insurance goes up every year, materials are up - and going up again, environmental fees are up, trade fees are up, gas is going up, dumping fees are up. And then our fees have to go up, again, and we are faced with customers contempt for charging enough so we can make a living.

Just can't win some days. I should have been a gigolo.:D
