Found these guys in my tank, as you can tell they are tiny, my guess is the eggs survived a dip and then hatched out. I inspected my one and only turbo snail when I put him in, think its more likely I missed something on a piece of live rock.
I understand they are species specific. I have found 3 on the substrate, none on my snails. I don't have any clams in the tank. Is it safe to assume these are clam eating pyramid snails or could they be something else? Could they be turbo snail eaters and I'm just not catching them in the act?
Assuming they have no food source, how long would it take them to die off? I would eventually like to put a clam in this tank.
