Rainbow?

It almost seems to be getting worse and worse. I'm not sure about everyone else but I was taught there are 7 colours in what we call a rainbow...so why am I seeing 2 tone corals as "rainbow"

I understand if it's gone brown/lost colour, but there should be documentation showing it's former rainbow state.

Interested to see what everyone else thinks about the topic.

The name is quite deceiving when people use it. A rainbow has several bright colors IMHO. Heck, I would call rastas rainbow befor most of these corals.

I have to agree. I think there are a lot of terms and descriptions being thrown around in this hobby now. It's getting out of hand.

Designer names also. I get the fact of tracking lineage. But c'mon. It's getting ridiculous.

IMO the worst with the chalice's the rainbows used to be at least 5 bright distinct colours. Now rainbow is attached to things nice as they may be... That used to be watermelons...

Yeah i agree, alot of the "rainbow" corals you get are a max 3 colours anymore. I wonder the same thing everytime im looking at a "Rainbow" coral. I bought a Rainbow hammer that has a max of 3 colours if im lucky haha. I def agree tho, if theyre labelled as rainbow whatever they should have at least 5 distinct colours to even classify as rainbow.
