Not sure either. Eggs and adult fish may have different parasites. Truth is that some parasites may not survive the new environment in the ocean. Also I think that some of the fish are farmed in larger basins, so there is another risk of infestation? Maybe I'm wrong ...reeffreak link said:........
I was always confused with this because salmon also live most there life in saltwater and return to freshwater to spawn again. I'm not 100% on meat. I just looked into the eggs. If you find any more info please post it.
