Wow!! Glad to see the Vivids rainbow is growing nicely!! It has grown a lot in just a short time from that small frag.... Very impressed. When I got my frag it grew well but took a while to colour up nicely. I've only clipped a couple frags of it and I've noticed it difficult to keep the colourful tips on it as a frag for an extended period of time.... It will usually keep growing and encrusting but colours down until it's bigger again...
Keep up the great work buddy!!
Maybe we will see you in Toronto in a little over a month.... Should be a nice display of coral :)

It seems to be a good grower... mine has not grown as much as Riley's, but has fully encrusted over it's plug and onto the surrounding rock and turned purple & green. It's a cool piece. Will be interesting to see how differently our colonies grow out :)

So after upgrading my alk kit to a hanna i found that my alk was at 4.53!! Jeeebuz, funny thing is everything is looking good minus the aiptasia and the millis could have better PE but other acro PE is good and color and growth is good. Time to slowly raise it up.

Ill def go buy some frozen clams, and for pods i may buy some of those tiger pods or w.e theyre called, try and keep the population up. Thanks for the tips. :) I read somewhere tht they need blackworms or something like that in their diet to be healthy. Can these be found locally anywhere?

If you buying tiger pods, make sure you have lots of coral crumble in your sump and dump half the bottle in the sump and half the bottle in your DT AT NIGHT. Mine populated my fuge huge before I had the fire.

Mine was already eating mysis when i got it, but i added these to my tank (no sump at the time)

and dropped in 2-3 clams everyday that all my fish seemed to like. Stayed healthy til i traded him. Think I had him 4-5 months, so I don't think blackworms are a necessity.

Why at night? Does it just give the pods a chance to get in the rocks so theyre not eaten out of the water column?
