Return Pump Recommendations

So currently I am running two PCX 40 pumps these things are amazing they never break down but they are slightly noisy.
Since I am upgrading the size of my tank I am looking at purchasing one or two new return pumps. What do you recommend? Should I stick with a big electric motor like maybe a dart/snapper hybrid?
Or should I go with something like a Vectra or wave line pump? I would like them mounted externally. As that is How I have my pumps currently. But that is not a necessity either I guess LOL. Give me your options.

vectra l1, dolphin external sound great, dart\snapper gold, i just got a jebao dct 15000 less than half the price of the next cheapest.. i may have been heading toward the d/s g .. dolphin was my first choice then the l1.. but the low cost of the jebao got me...
im shootin for 2000 gph at 9 ft..

I still vote Jebao. I have a DC12000 on my DT and it pumps water down under my house, across 30' and back up 5' into my tank. It has been running since about a month after I started this DT over 2 years ago now I think.
I also have a Jebao DCS7000 on my seahorse tank.

I'm also a big fan of the pcx 40...have one running my skimmer currently. I have opted to go with a blueline HD70 for my new build though it is not quieter but really pushes water... is your sump downstairs or just behind the wall?

If your not set on external setup get a jebao DC pump they are amazing there also controllable great pumps for a decent price! Just as good as a ecotec

A sound insulated enclosure is always an option. One consideration is temperature...if your house is cool and your heaters are always running then you might as well run an internal pump and use the heat to your advantage. If you ever struggle to keep the tank cool enough then external is the only way to go.

That is one of my reasons. Plus that is the reason I did my Biopellet reactor with hose instead of hard plumbing it. That way I can put the pump in my sump.

I love my Vectra L1, i have mine hard plumbed internally and it is dead silent, looks great and also has alot of great features.

I am looking for both quiet and power efficiency. Would you guys actually recommend Jebao? I have been resisting using Chinese stuff but honestly it's getting harder and harder when you hear such good reviews about a product that's half the money

OK say if I go with two jebao return pumps. What would you recommend for my 220 gallon tank? One pump is used exclusively as a return the next pump feeds my algae turf scrubber; my reactors and the excess water goes to the display. Currently I am running to PCX-40 which r aprox 1100 gpm

I highly doubt it would, i have neither a IM40 or Vectra M1 but even in my old IM SR80 a Vectra M1 wouldn't fit
