I am glad I did not get one when I was going to. Still lots of bugs they are working out. They rushed the release to beat other controllers.

Agree with Torx. I am not aware of anyone who has mentioned on here they got one actually. I'm also very glad I didn't.

I have been following their FB group page as well as the forum. For the cost of it being well over a thousand dollars Canadian, as well as the reliability need, I will be waiting until there are a lot less issues being posted. Daily I am seeing people posting issues caused by faulty OS or complete system failures that require it being mailed in to be repaired. The new one will be better then the old one, but like the DOS, it will take at least another 6 months to a year before I would recommend the Apex to anyone unless they are looking to purchase the Classic Apex.

I broke down and got the new Gen Apex and I absolutely love it, no issues so far ( knock on wood ). I would have never set it up by myself as computers and I don't get along so I had a fellow reefer help and it only took about an hour to have it up and running. Its a big chunk of change but not having to purchase any mods for future things that ill want was a big seller for me.

A good way to save on the purchase is if your able to trade in some frags to your LFS and get a credit towards it then its not such a dent in the old wallet.

Makes sense when you have thousands of $$ into your tank. Then having everything automated and all the checks and balances makes sense. What are the upgrades that make it better?
