The opening has been pushed off at least twice... initially June 2013 then September 2013 and now I think Fall 2013???

IDK...I've been to a number of aquariums including ripleys in myrtle beach and its good but I only wish these places would attempt a large living reef.  Its crazy to think that a reef tank is better done by a home aquarist and 99% of these public aquariums wont even attempt something decent.

One aquarium I want to visit is the long island aquarium.  Its got the largest living reef exhibit (20,000) with stony corals and even the part-owner/curator posts from time to time on RC.  Some people have even donated large corals or fish for there display.  http://www.longislandaquarium.com/exhibit-indoor-coralreef.html

Another good public aquarium with reef exhibits is supposed to be the waikiki aquarium.  www.waquarium.org/

I saw a documentary on this place, the behind the scene stuff here is crazy!

this place has a giant living reef, the rainbow reef I think its called, their website is up and shows some limited photos of things, it also talks about the behind the scences life support systems tour we could go on as a group for an extra fee.. if it wasn't overly "extra" i'd be down for meeting some guys down there and spending the day, we can also camp out under the shark tunnel with our sleeping bags.. but that might be a bit much for all us grown men.. .lol
