Is there a way to tell if the filters in a ro unit need to be changed. Just wondering, I have ran over 200 gals through mine but, I don't know how long the filters last..thanks..

I think the simplest way to see is to buy a TDS meter (total dissolved solids) and it should read zero or close to it. It will indicate filter capacity and use.

Does yours have a Todd meter on it? I have a vertex and it has one built in. I'm still on the original membranes after a year because it back flushes itself

As mentioned, get a tds meter. You need to know your tap tds and tds after ro membrane..... Get those readings and make and model of your RODI Kit.....

Maxwaterflow or reefsupplies can hook you you up I think. There is also a local water store in tillsonburg that deals in ro units but when I talked to them they seemed to be clueless on the DI part of it.
