No its that same one but the adaptor is separate and they forgot it to throw in the box and I dont want to pierce any pipes.

I've yet to see any of those pipe piercing valves that don't fail in one way or another.  Most common is the valve deteriorates and you can't turn it off anymore.  I guess that's why I soldered mine in.

How did the $149 kit get up to $300?  You get shafted by UPS too?

The aquasafe isnt a very good system IMO.

A RO/DI is only as good as the filters and in this case they are sub par.

I had purchased the aquasafe and still have the canisters but all filters are changed to better quality now.

BRS has good deals on RO/DI and the value is very very good.  Quality stuff for a good price.

I always recommend this system http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/products/reverse-osmosis-filters-and-systems/reverses-osmosis-deionization-systems/standard-ro-di-systems/75-gpd-ro-di-5-stage-plus-system.html  This system will get you the dual TDS meter, flush kit and pressure gauge which are all MUST HAVES IMO.

The dow filmtec 75gpd membrane is number one in the hobby...very high rejection rates and good life.  The matrikx carbon filters are also much better quality and some of the best.

Those aren't very good numbers....

did you let it run for a couple hours before testing the water?

the membrane is usually covered in a factory "coating" that needs a bit to wash off

u should get 0 tds after the resin. no ifs and buts about it. With TAP tds of only 124 it should be super easy for the system to get it down to 0

My numbers here in London:

Tap: 119
RO: 004
DI: 0

I can't get at the waste, it's plumbed in, but I might try and pop the waste line and see if I can get some.  I'm using a GE RO unit,  DOW membrane, generic coconut charcoal filters and a DOW DI resin.

something definitly is not set up right..I cant remember off hand what my readings are, but i know my town water is close to 500tds..and I get 0tds with the same system your using.

Here is mine......50psi

300tds IN
02-04tds AFTER MEMBRANE
00tds AFTER DI

With 26tds going into the DI you are going to be changing that like mad.
