I should also add that it takes a lot longer for a cutting to get going, than an established colony.  I'm still rebuilding so a lot of the pieces are still small.  That said, I plan to stick with LED's from here on in, I can't imagine ever going back to old lighting, now that I've seen that it works.  I assume that as long as I keep things healthy, I can have fraggable colonies within 12 months, if not sooner.

I have a kill-o-watt on the tank, it went from ~1000watts to right around 500 watts after the change.  That's a hell of a lot of difference.  Heat was barely an issue this year (I used to have to keep the house colder in summer to keep from topping 83 deg!).  I absolutely, definitely noticed a difference on my electric bill, a combo of the central air and the lighting I think.

Who did I get the superman monti off of at the swap?  That stuff has started to really take off too.  :)

Also, a shot of a few frags I got off rick this weekend.  Placed for now high in the tank in full light, just to see how they do (I hope they don't fight when they're this small!).  They look pretty darned happy only 2 days in.

Keep up the good work Zakk! You should show us more of these pics in your tank thread so we can see your progress. Awesome stuff. I would like to stop by to see your tank sometime...

It's definitely still a big work in progress.  I plan to improve the 'solid rock wall' look over time, taking out a piece of rock here and there, or just giving in and buying that 150 gallon over at sealife central, that thing has been calling to me since they got it.

Anytime you want to take a look, lemme know, I'm in byron, and it really IS a frankenstein mess of wires, LEDs and heatsinks under that hood, but they sure do work well.
