Just ordered a sally lightfoot crab. Have read when large they may catch and eat small fish. Has anyone had that happen?

what tank are you planning on putting them in ?
My daughter's tank (only salt tank I have). Just clown pair, nem, and toadstool, plus the mushrooms i ordered with the crab. Shouldn't be a problem now, but could be down the road if adding more fish I suppose.

So i got to thinking, that maybe the clowns will host one of the mushrooms i've ordered. Look it up... turns out mushrooms have been known to eat fish!!! Seems i may have just ordered a bunch of fish killers[emoji15]

It really depends on the mushroom sp. If they are the large elephant ear mushrooms then yes they can eat fish. Those even go so far as to release a drug to immobilize the fish when it dives into it. It tricks them into thinking it is safe. Then it closes up on them and eats them. For the most part other mushrooms could potentially eat fish. But I have never really had that problem.

He won't sleep in the mushrooms, my female just grazes against the mushrooms, he goes all out under them, on them, sucks at them,, but they both sleep together swimming in the corner,

I have some pretty big mushrooms in with my clowns and everyone is fine...I wouldn't worry unless you are some freaky kind of mushrooms..
