Ive tested Omega reef salt multiple times and these are the results I've seen;
Alk 7.8-8.2
Ca 400-410
Mag 1290-1350

Pretty good if you ask me.

Also another thing I'd like to point out that some people don't take into consideration is try not to switch brands of salt that often. We preach about keeping things stable as possible and salt is one of the biggest things that can cause swings if being switched often.

@heath @barebottomcouple uses Omega reef salt and swears by the stuff.

I'm a firm believer now as well. I've been on this salt for about 9 months and will not switch off of it.

Cool.
You get free sand with every pail!

Omega will be next but at 5gal at a time...... will be a while..

I found with salinity I used 3 and 1/2 of a scoop that I had. With IO I am closer to 4 scoops.

So far the last little while ive been using h20 salt, but am getting sick of paying that much for salt. Has anyone used one of these but then switched to the other? Just want to know if anyone noticed a difference in their dosing or anything like that? Is it really worth paying the $80+ for h20 salt?
Elements deplete daily so i dont see how this higher brand salt with higher element concentrations is going to benefit anything unless your doing daily water changes.
Please anyone with experience in thia area please chime in, its time for me to restock up on salt and want to make a desicion on what to do.
Where have you been getting your H20 Riley? Mops carries it, you are still dosing with it? have you tried more frequent water changes?

Come to kitchener. Aquariums By Design carries it. You may want to call ahead to confirm it's in stock. We sell out quickly as it seems like we're the only ones who are carrying it
