Sinking Pellets

Anybody know what a good sinking pellet food is? By "good" i mean pellets that take less than 30 seconds to start sinking! I'm currently feeding nls 2mm sinking pellets, but even with my powerhead on feed mode, most of it is ending up in my overflow, then to sump, making a huge mess. I believe northfin pellets sink quickly, but it's been ages since i used it and could be wrong. Suggestions?

I use the 1mm sinking from NLS... don't even bother shutting anything off. Most of the pellets sink right away. Maybe the height they fall from helps and the surface agitation from the powerheads assists in the sinking.

I love new era, it's all I feed now besides frozen.

If you are having a hard time making your pellets sink, you can try soaking them a bit first, or give them a good chuck into the water! Or into garbage and buy some new era ;)

soaking is always good but if you create more surface aggitation they will sink like rocks i noticed in the med tank with lower flow than my reef it took a few seconds

Just like they said feeding ring everyone should have one. Its one of those small things you don't think of and when you get one your like this is the best thing I rate it right up there with a good skimmer.

Pretty sure unibob was joking, but chucking food into tank actually works (although some bounces off the eggcrate and onto the floor) haha Feeding rings seem to be a popular solution, so i think i'll silicone a 1" length of pvc to the corner where it will be hidden by corner trim i have on tank. Thanks for all the suggestions!
