Skimmer After Cyano Treatment

I realise that my skimmer will overflow during a Cyano treatment but how long should it last after treatment is done, it's been 10 days, is there anything I should do such as a water change, that won't hurt I suppose.

Yes I did the water change and no I didn't use the air stone.

Your tank should have been back to normal in a day or 2. Your Skimmer is working overtime to remove the left over residue of Chemi-clean left in your system. If this excessive flow is too much you may dilute the Chemi-clean remaining in your system by addition water changes. The replacement of your chemical filtration and carbon will also help. If your protein skimmer is in a sump, take the cup off and just let the skimmer overflow in sump for a while. This process should cease in a few hours.
