hey Guys time for an upgrade...
thinking of 90-120 system...
what are your thoughts on skimmers?
curve7 vs curve 7 elite, vertex omega 180i ( they are on sale lol) or any other skimmers that you guys are happy/ unhappy with....

I replaced my reef octopus with a curve 7 after the pump died. I was hesitant about buying the curve 7 as it wasn't as well know as the reef octopus. I have been very impressed with the curve 7. It does as good of a job as the reef octopus, but has a smaller footprint and it's quieter. I'm in the process of taking down my tank and the skimmer is for sale if your interested? Less than 6 months old. Asking $275

I think the curve skimmers are very good, I have an older SWC 150 and it's sitting in the closet all cleaned up waiting for a bigger tank set up and is not for sale. I've always had luck with the SWC or the older Vertex line, I bought a new Omega 130 and it was terrible, I was totally frustrated trying to get it to skim properly.
