The swc is an exact match to the reef octopus nwb 200, correct?  Or am I thinking of a different brand?

Haha but of course.

Did I hit a nerve there?  I assume that has been talked about here before...  I don't want to get into politics (or care for that matter), I was just thinking that the reef octopus 200 isn't big enough for my tank, so the SWC wouldn't be either.

Which one do you run on your tank Brandon?  Do you think it would handle mine?

I run an swc 160, works but I think it's too small,
I have a schuran jet skim 150 that I need to buy a pump for and then I'll be installing it

The SWC won't do a 220, You've got to get something that's rated for your tank, Look in ads, I think there's an XP3000 in there for sale.As far as i'm concerned the SWC 160 or the Bubble Magnus and Octupus are all knock offs

Reef octopus sellers are pissing me off.

They call these both SRO 3000s.

Does the full cone make the xp $200 better?

Which one do you have, Yangman?

casting a cone vs cutting a tube would be a lot more work and require some more equipment, also machining would be more difficult, however some say the cone is just a gimmic but they sell so everyone is doing it, even BK is building cones but still have the regular line as well.

I would say not... Not 200 dollars better. They both have the bubble blaster pump which is one of the main thing for me.

Look for a smooth transition up the body and it will work great.    The come might be slightly for efficient but no 200 bucks better
