So today while trying to clean out my skimmer i reassembled and apprently the casing wasnt exactly back on there properly and about a mnute after i fired it back up the venturi cover popped off, then the hosing popped off and went swaying thru the tank....
during the swaying the propeller came in contact with my devils hand and lopped a good fraction of it up and there is a good protion of its inerds exposed...

should this be serious cause for alarm or will this grow back?  do they leach off toxins when harmed like some other corals?...

basically just wondering if i should try n nurse it back or not..ill post pics in a bit...have to try n fix my skimmer properly

There will be a bit of mucus, but shouldn't be too bad with these.  I would cut off the damaged bit and make it a frag - these are very hardy and should be fine.

You can't kill these lol... use anything to frag the piece, scissors, razor blade, whatever works for you. In my experience frags of devils hands grow way way to slow so I'd just leave the piece alone and let it heal as it will.
Cheers
