finished the in wall setup for my new 125 over the holidays and today the RO water finally crested the overflows and filled the sump so I've got a running system now.

I just placed an order from reef supplies for a new apex controller setup, tunze auto top off, Neptune auto fish feeder and a bunch of other stuff. I spend allot of time at my cottage and don't want to come home to a dead tank like my last experience. I also ordered 3x t247 ocean revive led lights that hopefully show up later this week.

Now I need to hide the receipts from my wife ;-)

Was in Cleveland for the hip concert yesterday so I stopped at my relatives and picked up my led lights I ordered a while back.
I went with the ocean revive T247 and for my 125 gallon I got 3x of them. Price across the border was 440 bucks for all of them and I didn't get charged duty :)

I put them up tonight, but haven't adjusted any of the settings yet. First impressions, dead quiet and no heat at all. Well see how long they last but at least at 150 bucks a piece I can take that risk.

Few photos of the lights on. Tomorrow I will play around with the intensity

Got a few more things done today, sump lighting (6500 LED bulb), GFI's installed, lights wired up properly, Gyre installed (vertically)

Splurged and got a few anthias at Aquarium by Design. Next is the setup for the ATO and water changes, then a new quarantine tank and also hooking up a second sump for macro growth.

Spent a few hours last night getting the apex setup and the wiring done. I'm having a helluva time with the ipcamera in the dashboard and I'm not a technology idiot. Got to spend more time on that tomorrow.

Only thing not currently hooked up to the apex is the Gyre, but I'll do that tomorrow so I can get it hooked up through the feed settings

Got the quarantine tank setup tonight. Question, when you guys run a quarantine and are using medication in it have you removed the carbon from the cleaner? I'm just using a standard HOB filter for it that uses carbon, I just took the carbon out for now.

Also nice to see the investment in the skimmer paying off. Wasn't sure if the dog crapped himself sitting next to me down here or the skimmate was ripe, I'll take it that it was both of them

I also painted the back of the tank a really dark blue/black colour. I left two spots on the back in the corners you don't see from the front since they are covered in rock. This gives me a glimpse into the back to check in on things id normally not be able to see if it was completely painted.

Last update for the night is this mess of wires. I had a few hundred LED's left over from various projects around the house. I've got every colour imaginable, anyway these ones are all 5w blue led's. I'm going to make a moonlight setup and then use a number of the 2 Watt led's for various stars. Actually no photo yet, the one I had was just over a mb so couldn't post it yet

One sump wasn't enough, so I made another :)

I plumbed this one so that in a pinch, I can separate it from the main tank/sump and use it for a different purpose. I moved my quarantine tank to a different spot, so that way I won't accidently grab the copper instead of the garlic jar like I *almost* did a week ago...that was close!!

Anyway, now I'm working on my bio pellet reactor

thanks, i think i put this thread in the wrong section i guess it should move to member tanks. Over the weekend i finished the sump as you can see and then also used some black eggcrate i picked up from acrylicworld to build a skimmer stand as well separate out a section in the new sump for more macro.
Working on the bio pellet reactor now, i had some 3" tubing i was going to use but i think i want to go with at least 5" stuff so i can make it shorter, yet wider (story of my life right :)).....

so if anyone has a need for 3 or 4 pieces of 3" acrylic tubing i have some up for trade.
