i would love to grab that skimmer but t.o is far. and would a 150w MH be to much for that small of a tank? i see that bill has a used one in there right now with a pheonix 14k bulb.

I have a 250w MH 8" above my 30x12x12 with no issues (besides massive amounts of light spillage in my living room).
All depends how it is set up.

+1 on Parker plastics

+1 on Weldon being less available and more expensive this side of the border.

The guys at Parker and I use Methylene Chloride almost exclusively to weld acrylic (they will sell you some if you don't have access to industrial chemicals), although the Weldon products are excellent and less temperature sensitive than raw solvents(easier to handle for newbs).  I usually keep some Weldon 16 around to deal with repairs or joint imperfections because its more convenient than blending some meth and shavings up for a small spot repair.

oh god nooo parker plastics charges an arm and a leg for everything!!
if you want good and fair priced acrylic work go to sabic plastics (behind bestbuy in the southend) they do alot of large mass production jobs which usually take priority though i usually have to wait 3-4 weeks when i need something made. but you cant beat there price if your carrying cash
