Lol , people will spend 50- $100,000 on a nice car for it to be worthless in 8 years , at least when you buy corals you'll always get what you paid for back and if you sell it. Also think of how much money you'll make over 8 years of the expensive coral that you bought that grew 5 times the size and you sell off peices , to me I look around websites to see what things go for and make sure I don't pay over price! :)

Im not in it for money but if you look at some of these guys tanks on here their corals grow like grass and then some pieces brake off or overgrow and you have to sell them off .

The prices are ridiculous and the names are ridiculous as well. I have an incredible acro that is probably 4-5" tall and just as wide. It's a orange with pink growth tips. And some other colours mixed in.

It's probably one of my favourite corals.

I sure didn't pay 1500 for it because some guy slapped a name on it.

I actually had to go back and reread the original part of the thread.

I am following it for shits and giggles. I have found out what I needed. If you want to close it. Have at er. Thanks to all that assisted in my identification.

WOW ... I think this thread should be cut about halfway on the first page and put in a thread entitled .... "Why are some corals so expensive?" or something along that line. :p

I think it's a very cool looking algae and wish I had some in my tank!
