Have you tested the water ? I have never used nitraguard, what does it or suppose to do..Maybe or could have thrown your other out of balance..

Yes nitraguard. If you run out of sufficient PO4 or nitrate it will squirrel your tank. INCREASE FLOW

Test your levels Scotty. Get that FLOW UP. as in GYRE FLOW.

Levels fine, except nitrate is still off chart and phosphates 2.0 So no change yet. Nitraguard was only started last fri, not expecting it to make any difference yet. The nitraguard is turning quite dark, so it's doing it's thing. Now, let me just reach back and see if I can find some money for that gyre...

The biocubes are the same as pellets and cyano is a common side effect of using biopellets especially in the early stages when nutrients are high. The added carbon in the system changes the bacterial balance. Throw a sock on and Turkey baste away then clean the sock immediately repeat next evening etc.etc. a lot of work but the balance will restore itself and by growing and removing the cyano you will be speeding up the nutrient export.

I started running cubes about 3 weeks ago. They are DARK now. 2.0 phosphate is way off the chart . As Said get that cyano out

don't just low it around siphon it out just blowing it around it will settle somewhere else

Good question! Will run both nitrate and phosphate tests on fresh batch.

I am just wondering as I looked at my Di resin this morning and saw its half colour changed already and I just replaced it last week? My guess being spring run off well water passing thru right now.

My algae on the glass is way down and on the back is dropping off. I just changed my resins out in my RO. I think they were reached after a year and 1300 gallons

I wondered that too. I replaced my resin about 4 weeks ago and all of it has changed color too. Seems really fast to me!

What!!! Out of your RODI???

The safe limit for nitrates in drinking water is 10ppm. If you're at 20 after filtering I hope you don't drink that water!!!!

I take the api tests with a grain of salt. Brantford water is notoriously bad. Wife drinks brita filtered water all the time. She's normal (so I've been told anyway)
