Sps In A Nano

Hey Guys

since my Big leak , I have put the sps in my biocube , and i am looking for tips to make these bad boys grow. I do water changes weekly 5 gallons ... I use oaster feast to feed them about 2 times a week. and do about a half cap fuel once a week ...

and dont remeber the prams off the top of my head.. I will add them tomorrow and redo it since the water change on sunday .....

salinity is 1.025

I have 5g tank , corals are doing well. The biggest trouble to keep Mg/Ca/KH levels.
That's the place where all money go (test kits). Checking levels twice a week. Especially Mg can jump Up/Down pretty fast.

You kinda answered your own question. Water parameters!!!

You need to know them and keep them as close to ideal range as possible with as little fluctuations. Do that and your corals will reward you with good colour and growth

You're one of the lucky ones. I also haven't tested my tank in months. But I know what my system consumes for supplements.
Unless you already know your system. Chances are that knowing your parameters and maintaining stability will increase growth and colour better than any magic additive that claims to increase growth and colour.

Large volume of water provide some buffer.
From small tank parameters can drop pretty fast.
It's like can a human live in a small room? Yes, he can. but will die soon without air - it should be air ventilation.

ok thank you guys ,... I just didnt know if there was anything else i should be doing beside checking levels ... adding mg alk and cal as needed that sorta thing

so basically a nano would be the same but a smaller tank is all i guess .,.

I also don't test like Eric but we have been in the hobby for some time and have experience at what our tanks need and what they use weekly. It you are newer to the hobby and don't have a lot of experience keep testing. Smaller tanks you will notice things build up quicker and supplements will drop faster so issues show up faster. Just keep up with your water changes, have proper flow so food items can make it to the corals and good light and they will grow. Besides in a smaller tank you don't really want them to grow crazy fast as you will have to constantly prune. I would focus your color spectrum for color with good growth. What K are you running the lights at?
