Now that we have our tanks up and running, is there anything that you would change or do differently..location, tank inhabitant's,equipment etc...

I would have picked a better location for my DT and done a basement sump. would have done a deep sand bed in fuge, and also would have been testing with Salifert from the get go. Now that I am using all Salifert over red sea pro kits, I am noticing a healthier vibrant tank due to proper dosing. Now that said, I am looking to move toward an Apex with auto dosing LOL.

1. I would have selected a larger tank. Probably should have taken the FULL plunge and gone with the 300 gallon deep dimensions tank, 72x36x27 sounds like a dream.

2. Taken more time to do a better aquascape. Layers, levels, and over all better use of the height and depth.

I would've used a different plumbing system for a quieter tank and also moved the tank away from the one wall as it makes it tough to clean the side glass. And also bigger tank, biggers always nice :p

I would have planned my rock scape to be a bit further away from the sides for easier cleaning. Otherwise I wouldn't change a thing, my first tank has been a great learning experience for the next one.
