Well I ended up getting a biocube 29, Soon i'll be moving my 15 gallon stuff over.
Not quite sure how to go about it, couple questions pop in my mind.

1. Sand.. I have enough "dry" sand to do the biocube by itself. But Im assuming it would be beneficial to use some or all of my live sand from my current tank? How should I go about this if so? (rinse prior & mix with base sand?)

2. Rock.. I'll be buying some centrepiece dry rocks and then will eventually move over the 20 lbs I have in my current.  Should I cycle with a couple live rocks then move over the majority of my live rock?  OR  put basically all my LR in at once and let it go?

use a cup of your "old" sand to seed the new stuff. Transferring all of your old sand could unleash whatever toxins are trapped deep within it (unless you were good about stirring it regularly before)

If you are using eco reefer or similar rock (not dead live rock you have lying around) then you probably wont get much of a cycle because the eco rock has negligible organics - so you wont get an ammonia spike. I would get the rock and throw it in your current tank and let it sit in there for a month so it seeds quicker given the volume of live sand you currently have.

you get the HQI BIOCUBE or the regular one? Any mods planned?  Looking forward to your build.

Got the regular with plans of an LED upgrade could not justify the 300 extra for the MH one when LED IMO will be the way of the future lol.
Standard upgrades, new return pump, media baskets, etc I'll be starting up a build thread once I get it going

Thanks for the advice.
Cheers.
