Taking a break....

Darryl, the pics I saw of your tank have always inspired me when I came on this site.  I understand the need for a break and something new.  Who knows, maybe when you get back into saltwater you'll try seahorses!... a wonderful challenge and something completely different  ;D

I'll miss reading about your tank on here.

Wow guys.  Im tearing up here.  haha well virtual tears maybe.  Thanks for all the positive comments.  This has to be the best group of guys on any forum.... 
I can definitely see myself still visiting the best forum (thefragtank) even with out a tank.  A lot of you guys have tanks with so much potential I will want to keep up with the progress.  Also remember Im not getting out for a few more months.  By that time you guys will be like "arent you gone yet".

Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said.....


Darryl_V, you are the guru of reef tanks for all of Canada.  I don't think I have talked to a single person across the country that doesn't know who Darrly_V is.  It was a sad day when I heard the 'rumor' of you getting out (I had probably 20 emails from people asking me if it was true).  Your tank accomplishments speak for themselves, I can honestly say your tank is the best tank I have ever seen in person.  Not only is your tank an inspiration to new and old hobbyists alike, you have been a HUGE asset in terms of knowledge amongst the community.  I see you as a reefing elder and your knowledge of ALL things reef related is ....well, crazy.  Thanks for helping me out and inspiring me to take some risks.

I do hope you continue to visit the forms and share your knowledge.

With or without your reef tank, you will always be a legend.

Moving on and taking a break and knowing when the time is right to do so, makes it so much easier to come back with a fresh outlook or a different type of display tank. I've never seen Darryl's tank even though I live in the same town, but the photos I've seen tell the story. You'll be missed by many Darryl, and I wish you well, and hope you check in from time to time.
