Well thank you again for all your help the phosphate level in my tank is drastically reduced from 2.24 ppm this morning I sit at .54 ppm (still high) but coming way down. The coralin algae is coming back strong and things are looking much healthier.

As an update I removed my large Sail Fin tang. We added two clowns to go with the hippo and yellow tang. We did try to add a royal Garamie however she was doing amazing for the first few nights and days but I could not get her to eat and after 4 days in the tank I came home to find her tail beaten up and her stomach sunken. I should have made sure she was eating when I bought her from a LFS.

Any suggestions on where to go from here????? When can I add new tank mates?

if all your other params are in check your pretty much golden for anything.... whats your cleanup crew like? is allways good to make sure you got enough snails and a couple shrimp to chow what the fishies miss. will help keep water good and less maintenance for you :) dont feel bad you will prob buy three cbb before getting one to last is just how they are either they pig out or just starve

Right now I have around 20 snails in the tank and one peppermint shrimp. Had a lovely blood shrimp but I guess he liked the dirty water and he didn't make it through the clean up process.

CBB is a Copper Banded Butterfly fish. Notoriously difficult to keep alive but are well known aiptaisa eaters.

Saw a couple of CBB at Reef Boutique in Toronto - I highly recommend this LFS. Colin the owner, will not sell any fish that has not been QT'd and is not eating. Check it out if you are in the city !
