Apparently my raphael catfish has found a hole to hook himself into! They don't care if you take them out of water. Guess the driftwood is staying in tank till he decides to come out [emoji35]

Yeah, I've had smaller pieces like that. This one is sitting probably 1-2" lower than it was lastnight, so i think eventually it will sink.

Would aquarium epoxy, such as aquastik, work on driftwood? I'm thinking i could cut the driftwood in two, making pieces small enough to water log in totes, then glue them back together in the tank.

Hate to say it (given the hassle it was to get it), but this will be for sale soon. Tank and stand only. Cichlids could be included.

drill holes in the bottom and fill with rocks
I gave up on trying to get that driftwood to sink. Found another huge piece attached to super heavy slate on kijiji. Almost too big to fit in tank!

did you find a place...
We have our fingers crossed for a place. Applied yesterday. When did EVERYONE start using the application process? Used to be you walk through, and if you liked it you threw down some cash and it was yours! Now it's like applying for a job. Coincidentally, the place we want is about a 60 second drive from the tropical fishroom.

its been awhile since you have rented a new place...landlords have been using applications for quite some time, I think that potential tenants should have an application for them to fill out...oh, that is scary being so close to a fish store...
