I don't know about sps but I kept lps and softies for a few days in a rubbermaid tote with no problems, couple small power heads, heater, ambient light, 10% WC daily.

I kept my fish in one of my 10 gallon quarantine tanks and did frequent water changes and the corals in totes as stated above. It took me about 4 days to do the full tank switchover and all the corals and fish survived well.

Depending what size tote and how long you think you will need. You can toss skimmer in Rubbermaid, then you wouldn't need an air stone. Only thing I would worry about would be containing bubbles

I'd throw a heater and a small power head in each container. Point the PH towards the water surface and that should provide enough air/circulation. They should be fine in there a few days. You may need to do a few small water changes on the containers. But your fish and corals should be ok.

Good advise. If u don't want to wait for dr Tim's stuff try the instant ocean bacteria. It works great. I've personally used this in all my tanks and never had a problem

I've always got my trusty 15g ready to go for these times, Small coralife pump, heater, clip on LED light, and a piece of LR from my main tank so they have a small piece of home :)
