I am wondering how to safely proceed to a kind of tank upgrade. Since my 75g leaked all my live stock are in a 20g and 15g so rest of lr was dried this summer but i have them in 2 5g buckets with salt water circ pump and heater also put a small lr to reactivate all of them. Now my new 93g cube is ready did leaking test and all is ok it is filled with RODI water i am wondering if i drop half of water, put salt and lr with circ pump and heater and fill the rest with weekly water change... about 3 weeks (10g p/week) or i go out to my reef store and buy cycled water with bioballs full of bacteria that means going to food store and get 12 empty 5g water bottles getting to reef store and getting back in the cold (1 hour drive from store). I m looking for best result fast also but budget wise.

You're going to experience a cycle no matter how you do it.

If you're looking at quickest but safest way. This is how I'd do it.
Fill tank, adjust to proper salinity, add heater and bring upto temp, add circulation. Then add a product like Dr tims one and only. Let run for 24hrs. Then add the live rock. For the next three weeks. Test on a regular basis to ensure no spike in ammonia, No2 and no3. If there is a spike. Perform a wc to get the numbers back in line.
I however wouldn't add any other livestock other than the lr for the first two to three weeks on introducing the lr.

Can't rush. Like above just wait it out add water and salt to new tank. Bring up to tempadd rock and tims and wait until levels are correct to add remain live stock.

If your coral is doing ok in the small tanks I would take the time to cycle the new tank properly and fully set it up but if in a rush give tims a try like Eric said. A lot of people like it so its must work good

Just be careful where you get it from this time of year.
If it freezes. It's garbage. So try amd get from a lfs or order from a place that will guarantee it won't get frozen or add heat packs to the pkg while shipping

Hopefully you didn't find that out the hard way. I as well never thought about that.

Dont worry have'nt had time to order yet but i did call my local reef store and they have a similar product they use for customer's tank startup so on thursday i'll go pick it up with some cycled bioballs.
