That red planet piece is absolutely stellar.  The colours are coming out like crazy now.  I don't have anything else like it in the tank, and in fact I took a frag and am going to grow it in two places on the off chance of RTN at some point (you never know).  I know teebone got a good piece too, wonder how his is making out.

It's doing awesome!!!

Definetly a show stopper.

I have 2 other "Red Planet" frags I am growing out as well. Neither one can compare to Chuck's ;)

I have read they will colour up differently based on their distance from the lighting, like most acros.

I of course can't get a shot that does the damn thing justice, but the thing has red, green, white, and purple horseshoes in it.  I 'scaped it horizontally, so I can see the topside, and it's just insane.  That piece you have would have been $2000 if you bought it local.  I think we owe Chuck a beer :)

To be honest when I got it home, I was sort of 'meh' with it.  But now....

I'll bet that pic you took doesn't do it justice either :)

Agreed.. Chuck is the man!  I wish I could take some decent pics to do it justice. I am just working on progression shots so I can take note of new growth and hopefully colour improvements some day. It is one of my favorites right now too!

I'll take you up on that beer someday :p

Yeah, those were like mini colonies rather than frags, I'm glad you guys are enjoying them!
It is a surprisingly hardy and aggressive coral that grows pretty fast, loves light and lots of flow.
Mine just overtook a red samarenseis coral.
It's the real deal red planet got it at a MASM swap 3 years ago, and the guy claimed his stock was one of the first in the mid-west-who knows, anyways i call it awesome!
I'm just glad that those pieces went home with guys who knew what they were doing ;)

Well I can't speak for Teebone, but I can't honestly say I know what I'm doing. :)

I have it in a spot with lots of growing space, I was hoping this was a good grower.  Excellent polyp extension, especially while feeding.  Hopefully I keep it happy.
