Can you enlighten me more on how biopellets will affect my alk and what i should watch for when i start..i need to do something about my nitrates cause there steady at atleast 15. And ive been doing weekly water changes but am going to try to up it to 2-3 times a week if i can. Just need to get a reactor cause the kent one i have is leaking.

I run Bio-pellets and the one of the three I need to dose daily is my Alk. Calcium twice a week and Mag just once.

I use only a skimmer and chaeto with the Bio-pellets.

How long have you run pellets. I am now over 6 months in with my setup and just getting
consistent balance results.

Takes some time to achieve a balance hand bombing it but once there you can then look at auto dosing.

Keep checking parameters though. Do not slack off on that!

As others say, not everyone's system is the same.
