Thermometers what do you guys use?
I came home to two different thermometers one saying 80F and the other 88F. Both are digital coralife thermometers

How much coraline algae is on the probes? How much green algae? Could have an impact on readings..also battery capacity? I'm using a cheap digital with submersible probe.

I just use the ones that float around the tank, never had any issues, for the money I have heard too many negative things about the digital ones...

I use my digital aquatics controller. But as a back up. I use a glass thermometer in my sump

Same here...Ranco industrial controller...glass backup...Fischer Scientific handheld as third to check makeup water etc.

I have a PINPOINT digital thermometer but also use the floating glass ones as back up

got a glass one, says 80 so I'm less panicked

I use what I got over the years. Some don't even have markings on them. None of them on their own could hurt my tank. I use my apex thermometer as well as double check with a typical glass float one when I do water changes.
