I have some frags (on plugs) that need to be glued to rock.. just wondering, I have a couple of dead pieces of monti in the tank, they are unusual shapes, can I glue some frags to it, it would be zoas...

Heather you should know by now corals grow faster over dead skeleton than on other surfaces. Dead coral is literally the best thing to use and will cover much faster than on just a plug. I found clam shells work great too if you scuff them up a bit. They spread like wild fire
Never thought of clam shells instead of plugs... great idea and reuse of the ocean:D

Hell even a chunk of lr is better than a plug. Really plugs are just easier to organize on frag racks or to cart around places other than that they are expensive garbage lmao :) pretty soon a plug will be worth its weight in gold hahaha

Neither did I till a plug with three heads jumped to the clam shell and stopped growing on plug hahaha if you don't scuff it up tho your snails will push the zoos off.... Had that happen too but learned lol
