just remember the fish store can only tell you what he has been told i know alot of shops up this way get the run around with orders whether its a missed connecting flight or they simply couldnt catch enough. most fish stores once they get their orders normally have changes and arent told until arrival and trust me suppliers really dont seem to care they will tell you next week but once it leaves its out of the suppliers hands and loop but i do agree a call to inform you it did not come as expected should have happened. as for the employees of places management dont know who is screwing up unless someone complains if you leave without informing the supervisor how can they fix the problem. good help is hard to find now a days and not alot of people can make by on fish store wage so makes it even more difficult for management to find good help.

Ok just to update after Ian's reply I sent a pm and received a quick reply. I had a great conversation and will be picking up a purple tang tomorrow. All I really wanted was some communication and now have it. I hope/believe that this thread has helped give a different perspective and insight from the view point of the customer. I don't buy on price alone and being an electrician I go the path of least resistance. That being said I look forward to building a great relationship with Sealife Central. Thanks again Ian.

I'm doing a happy dance here ! glad to hear it Sidewaze, I had a gut feeling that your situation slipped through the cracks and I'm happier still that you got the situation rectified

Thanks everyone.
Sidewaze and his wife were in this morning. Absolutely delightful couple, and we had a great chat, shared some laughs and came to understand each other, and he left with a couple really sweet fish :)

We are by no means perfect, who is. There are a lot of active changes and improvements going on with us right now and those will continue.

Many of you have been kind enough to sit and talk to me as I have been doing market research and customer surveys over that last couple months. It has been extremely helpful and I have taken it all in. Although there are challenges being forced upon us regularly that cause us difficulty, we are actively restructuring and improving and I am excited about the year to come. Stay tuned for more info.
Thanks Fragtanker's
