So I've been tinkering with some recipies and trying to come up with a replacement for Reef Cuisine. I finally think I have something that will actually fills that void nicely. Mind you this is for personal use and catered more towards my tank inhabitants but here is a short clip of these guys chowing down on some leftovers after I froze the rest! They had already gotten a taste earlier so they didn't seem as eager, but they still devoured it quickly. I wish I had gotten the first round on tape. They went ape shit for it.

Here are some progress pics. making this stuff is insane. It is time consuming beyond belief. To clean all this fresh seafood from shucking, de-veining, de-pooping, etc... ugh. I hate this part.

I searched eBay for mini ice cubes. Found a tray for a few bucks that holds 96 cubes each about 1" square. Works great to put my mix into and then just pop one in at a time. I need to get some vitamins and stuff into my next mix.

I read about it and found that there seemed to be very little proof that there is a definite benefit of adding stuff like selcon or vita Chem. Human supplements alter water chemistry which is bad.

I figure with the use of the freshest ingredients, and the addition of quality frozen food such as pe mysis and cyclopeze, there isn't a current need to add other things to my food.

Let's be honest. Who else adds vitamins to their food really here? Very few I bet. Other than what is supposed to be in your fish food already right?

Thanks.

the lps are doing great. The sps are starting to encrust over the putty. All signs are looking good! I am beyond stoked with my tank, and do believe this is the best it has ever been. Fish are happy, corals are happy, and that means I am happy. lol
