It's weird yesterday it was flowing and extended.  Tonight it looks like this

ada2utyr.jpg

This morning it was shrunk up and crap blowing off of it.

Seems to me that others have lost torches recently.

Shitty, I figured out what was going on with my lps, carbon was my issue. Not so much the carbon itself but how it cleared the water so much, the lps didn't me that quick change.

Hope you figure it out buddy.

That's the thing I don't run carbon:) or Gfo most of the time.

I actually have a gold Torchcoming from big show. So timing wise the coral must have known it would be sold and couldn't live with that so it jello gooooed itself.

Hahaha your so positive about it.

I lost my green torch, all gone, since I figured out what the problem was my gold torch looks better then ever and all my acans are puffed up the most they have ever been.

I found, sometimes corals just crap out, just to piss us off, well, maybe not you neopimp ;)

How long has the torch lived in that spot.?
Is it melting to begin with or shrinking ? Or shrinking then melting ?

First things I can think of are Mabye a change of flow ? A soft coral is stinging it. Change in lighting intensity .

Was it close to a return? Always I am concerned with variations of temperature,  alk (pH) for corals closer to returns. Is there any data logged by your controller?  Temp and ph.

Ya the rest of the wavey shit is fine.  The thing is long dead it happened in 36 hours.  Almost looked like something took a bite out of the tentacles.  They were mushed and falling off.  At the same time it was shrunk in too.  Hard to explain.

It was in that spot for over a year. And the flows didn't change that much.  Tweaked of course soentimes but that thing was dead centre in the tanks and allthwnpowerheads were pointing so that the torch was never not moving.  Seems to make it happy.

It's weird.  But I was going to get a old for a replacemt anyways and I  will be sticking it in the same spot :)

Seems like you have the same attitude towards death as i do...  when you have as many coral and fish die as we both have, you get over it pretty quick.
