Update at taking GFO and Biopellets off line. I took GFO offline just over 2 months ago. Biopellets, I have not added any in months. I have just been letting the tank use up what is in there and eat through them slowly. There is less then a 1/4 cup left in my reactor.

Nitrates - non detectable
Phosphates - 1.45ppm

Holy fuck. Just started up the TLF150 with 1 cup of GFO to bring it down slowly as to not shock anything. Not sure where to go from here. I obviously need GFO, however the tank seems to be doing OK on its own without pellets. 1/4 cup obviously is not doing much of anything in +/-150gal TWV. I think I have my skimmer to thank as well as my water change table making 15gal water changes so easy now. I am actually seeing tons of growth in my corals. Some that seemed to have died off have started coming back.

I think you should post another updated FTS ;). ....Try downloading AZ Camera on your S5 (gives your cell SLR capabilities like custom white balance), setting WB to max I find that it works quite well...

...I've never tested for phosphates, I do run a bit if GFO, but now you have me worried I should lol... Nothing else visually indicated that it was abnormally high?

Seeing that the normal PO4 level in the ocean is 0.07 ppm, I think I am a little high. It is not affecting my fish at all. I have a feeling I may have caught it in time before it started negatively affecting my non LPS corals. Now that the lights are out, I did notice some white spots on the underside of my sunset montis where before it was all a nice shade of red with vibrant green polyps. I only checked it as I used to and have not for a while. I fell drastically behind in testing and maintenance, but on top of it now. I have also been dosing 30ml each of Bionics, pH is around 8.35 on average. Testing the Big 3 tomorrow, but I have a feeling they are find.

So phosphates are high ... rest is good and a ton of growth ...

So then i guess the fix is to bring phosphate down slowly ?

From 1.45ppm to >0.36ppm but less then <0.64ppm over night with just 1 cup of GFO.

Lesson learned over this...

When I started testing my water a long time ago, I had high phosphates and high nitrates. I attacked both with GFO and Biopellets to bring it down. I was running 2 cups of GFO and 2 cups of biopellets. Maybe attacking both at the same time was a bad idea. Just focusing on one at a time going forward.
