I'm going to be purchasing 2 Tunze 6055, I'm confused about the Controllers available, Does it have to be a Tunze Controller if so, which would you suggest, I may put a wave maker on it down the road, Thanks

I do not own this so don't take it as gospel.

One controller does two pumps and one does 4 pumps.    You can controll up to 4 pumps from an apex system without the tunze controller.

Wave maker is possible with apex but I believe it's simpler with the tune wave box controller.

Again not sure on it all but that's what I got.

So plugged into the powerbar to simply control on and off.    The apex still has 4 variable speed port on it. :)

Will the Apex control it the same as the Tunze Controller or just variable speeds?
im not sure what just the apex can do. if yu dont use the controller.....but the controller will do like time them when to go off and one between ther right and left.  ..pulse , or random. amd yu can make yur own settings.  .like when yu stop and start and how much speed to start at .yu can make a wave

That's pretty good. Can you take the Apex controller with you, I mean does it have to be mounted and wired into your system, I don't have a smart phone but if I go away how can I change anything remotely.

The apex does not have a random mode on I or any pre programmed modes.

It can synce pumps so they work together.  And it ramps them up and down on and off.

I have an apex and I want the tunzes... I also like programming. But if the controller is ready to rock with modes out of the box and is not expensive I would go with the controller and set the apex to simply power the outlets down.

Any computer with computer connect. Not sure why you would want to move apex?

There is an app for your phone.  Turns outlets on and off.  As far as tweaking programming and stuff you need to use a web browser.

The Controller for two pumps is 70 bucks or so, That is probably the way to go and like you said you can still hook it up to the Apex for emergencies.  But I guess you need the four port Controller if I wanted to use the Wave Box as well?

Ok so the Controller its self is not the way to make adjustments to your system, I was thinking it being hand held. So I could remotely adjust the Apex from any Computer. I think I got it.  Thanks Guys

if u get a ipod/ipad.. you can use it as your remote and have it work anywhere in the house, within wifi range, or if you setup port forewarding you can access it anywhere in the world.

the older 100$ 6055's arent controllable either.. i have 2 of them.. they just plug into the wall and blow water.
i dunno where your getting these prices..

heres what you need if you want to have a controllable tunze setup.

the controller

250$

200$ x 2

so its about 650$+ shipping and taxes to have a controllable tunze setup with the smallest controllable pumps they sell.
