I am curious if anyone has this problem or knows anything about. During the day my tank is dead quiet until my lights go off. Then for some reason all you can hear if the water flowing between the DT and the sump. Any suggestions would be great.

Sorry guys. 75 gallon with a 40 sump, bean drain, all 1" and no socks. Like I say it's dead quiet till the lights go out. Then you can hear the water trickling and flowing between the tank and sump.

Do your lights have a fan? If so, they could be masking the water sound til they go off. Try opening your full syphon ever so slightly.

I will try that tonight

No sensor, they are koralia gen 3 and my trickle is just a straight riser with an open top.

Don't know why you only notice this after lights out.....but anytime it's running down a trickle with a straight open top it will make noise. Add a couple of elbows so it is turned down and drill a hole in the top to prevent siphon (make it work like a durso) then the trickle will be silent unless you start pushing major flow through it.

Yeah i know the fans on my light cover up my trickle sound if its started taking on to much water. Fot the most part the i just adjust my gate valve and all i can hear is my returns moving the water surface...that and the equipment.

I think its all your coral growing big and strong, or could be that bristle worm that wants out and is drilling a hole in seem of the bottom of the tank.

My money is on the fan masking the sound.
