Hey guys, just thought id mention TSC has a sale on water barrels, I can vouch for the kind I bought, the white plastic ones. Took it home, dumped some RODI water in it let it sit for a few hours and bombarded the water with every test I own. 0 accross the board. Didnt leach anything.

hmm..good question. The one I got is probally close to 50g. It was $100. For no leaching, imo its well worth it...that and I got tired of looking for deals lol

Sometimes you get what you pay for... I heard to check the recycle depots for barrels that have been used for food storage. You never know when you get something that is used.. i will check out TSC and see what they have left. Are they clear enough to see the water level?

Thanks for the tip

ya gotta be carefull with the used barrels. be sure to test water before using. Ive heard of tanks almost being wiped after doing the first water change using a used barrel.

the water storage container is white. but you can clearly see the water level in the tank even in low light. They should have all sizes in stock..its not like everyone needs a water storage barrel :p The tillsonburg one had 3 of the "barrel" type.
