was out and about in town    got a blackberry message  get home fast..fish tank is on fire....so i flew home  told her to tell sam to unplug it at the wall  i run a apex  ...then i get home itr smelled like bad wires so i got on the floor on my back and was looking for black marks like what fire does  couldnt find any black marks  on the inside of the stand  but it sure smelled like it    so i unplugged all the plugs on the apex and plugged it back int the wall and it lighted up so i plugged the light in and it came on and plugged another plug in...poof blew the breaker    so i went to follow the cord and the heater in the sump was shattered ...so off to petsmart i went and bought a new heater ad some fluval
carbon comes within a bag ..all corals are playing dead or closed  ..so now we wait  am doing a 12 gallon waterchange  later

bummer. Sorry too hear that Larry.
I bought that titanium heater last time. After someone else had heater problems.
Maybe you should consider a tougher heater.
Good luck. HOpe your corals are ok.

they wont break... they are pretty pricey,,, so i would read some reviews on them first... titanium heaters look like the way to go.... that is if you can afford the good ones.....

what a day

Keep a close eye on you're levels if you're doing lots of water changes, depending o which salt you use, you're calcium could drop and you're alk could skyrocket

Although I wouldn't endorse ordering it without calling ahead first if you want it to arrive quickly - took over 3 weeks before it was even shipped as it wasn't actually in stock.
