Too bad reefers refuse to start local clubs.
There is a long boring answer to why there are no local clubs. Long answer short...costs lots of money...little membership to cover it. MAST is around and have an active membership that is expanding it saltwater interests. Check out MAST. 2 of their main members are here and they have a section in the affiliate threads.

lots of money to run, members needed to make it work, people with busy lives and working shift work. I could go on and on. Jerry of the Tropical Fish Room can tell you all the ups and downs of fish clubs. Many years ago there was a fish club in Oxford County, we went to all the fish shows and auctions, were members of CAOAC (Canadian Association of Aquarium Clubs). It takes a lot of dedicated people to support and run fish clubs. Kudos to those who still do ! I'd love to make a MAST meeting sometime soon !

I guess. I just thought if enough people wanted to organize something (like a monthly mini Frag Show) a place where people that have things to sell or trade would be able to come together at a predetermined location and conduct business/trading and heck maybe even a little knowledge. Kind of start out like a motorcycle club that meets in the parking lot of Tim Hortons. Maybe a truck stop hortons on a certain day of every month at a certain time. if you want to trade or sell of buy everyone could meet there. some times 2 people show up maybe 20 another time. There would be no cost for the location.

But what do I know about organizing stuff

People are online all of the time but think of the trouble we've had even putting simple meet and greets together.
We used to have TFT meetings of a sort back when Rick was our main crack...oops I mean frag dealer then the regular Timmies get together happened...
