What Aquavitro Products Used

I have been using Fuel for almost a year. I have no idea if it works or not, because I have always used it. What other types of Aquavitro products have you used and experiences with them?

I mean there are a few products and the claims of what they do is pretty impressive if they work.

Was curious how fuel compares to acro power?

I use fuel, I have used the other stuff but replaced it with ESV and Lugols.

I use Aqua vitro for everything. Only things I don't use are their salt and their alpha which is just prime on steroids. They put stuff in in to stop scaling so it does help a lot with pump maintenance and cleaning drain tubes. I personally love their calcification(calcium) ions(magnesium also has boron and strontium) vibrance(iodide) fuel(amino acid and trace elements) 8.4(alk) balance(ph controls that doesn't change alk or calcium). What a cup of others accomplishes a capful of Aqua vitro does the same which sucks for dosers unless you have a massive tank but is great dealing with only capfuls for manual dosing. Didn't you see my shelf full of Aqua vitro bottles lol

Ask @Shooter000 the difference between his or mine he uses acro power I use fuel and both have great colour really they are all just amino acids,phytoplankton and trace elements. If their regulated levels are very close then they probably work about the same with no real noticeable difference. Acro power and fuel seem to be the two most common used it just depends what brand is easier to get in your area

I was using all the Aquavitro products.
One thing I did find is that you only need to dose about 1/2 of what the bottle recommends.
I will say though that if you have a Lot of SPS, I have been using TLF Acropower for about 6 months now and found a huge increase in my sps growth since i started. And once again, I only use 1/2 the recommended amount.
IMO, from having done both, fuel is good for zoas, softies and LPS.
But Acropower is much better for SPS.

Seachems Aquavitro line does go a long way for the price and is of good quality IMO.

@scubasteve how often so you add the fuel? I bought a bottle a coupes months a go but it makes my skimmer go bonkers so in stopped using it

I figure how much I need for the entire week and split the amount by two or three and spread it out throughout the week. I try not to allow my levels to bounce. Would dose manually everyday if test kits were sensitive enough and I had the time.... I usually dose mon, weds, fri. Skimmer will stop producing skim mate for a couple hours but ya if you do your full dose once a week it does mess with your skimmer a bit

Unless you have a reef packed full you should only need half to 3/4 a dose. And then slowly up it over time

While they are both amino acid supplements, they have vastly different ingredients. It is recommended you dose Acropower during full light period, while Fuel is recommended as the lights are going down and calcification is beginning. From my understanding, fuel is supposed to supplement both skeletal and tissue growth while acropower is a coloring agent. Fuel is based in Vitamin C acid (the yellow stuff) and it must have some non-viable algae in it or else it wouldnt need to be kept in the fridge.

What are you testing for when dosing amino acids? Nitrates and Phosphates? When does your skimmer stop producing skimmate? I haven't seen this with either product. It actually increases with fuel (i turn it down), and I don't even bother with coralvite anymore, if my skimmer is empty it will skim out all the blue additive.

Can't test for amino acids I watch my colour to judge if I'm undercutting it or not. My skimmer has never foamed over from using Aqua vitro and I use more than recommended amount now. Every time ever after I dose it's bubbling but stops producing foam for a bit then starts normal again after a while

I dose during day. It is used to intensify colour, growth and overall health e-mail them they have a lot of info on what it does

I've used Fuel for many years. Very happy with it. Corals get all nice and plump just after dosing the tank. Other than water changes its all I add to the tank supplement wise.

Thanks for all the information. I was going to start ESV 2 part and ether acro power or fuel. Problem with Aqua vitro is I don't know where to get it as it is not available online...

Canadian Corals sells it as well as some Big als I think?
