Aptasia, cockroaches and Keith Richards will never be eradicated Heath so no need for cussing
Not sure if Copperbands work anyway - at least mine doesn't do the trick !

I have only ever had 1 or 2 pieces months ago and Sewerat took care of them with vinegar.. what else eats them and other foods as well, I can't put something in the tank that will starve after they are gone...
I can handle Keith Richards but definitely not aptasia or cockroaches...

They will eat whatever you drop in after the aptasia, more you feed them when aptasia present the more lazy they get.

$7ea.

I would recommend 2-3 per 50 gallons.

If you only have 1-2 aptasia I would just try adding 1.

ok, I think that there are maybe 8 to 10 pieces of aptasia, its hard to tell because they are on the back side of a rock and I don't want to rip the tank apart to count them.. Are you going down the 401 east anytime soon where I can meet you at the truck stop...

Potentially this evening. Waiting to hear back from a member in Hamilton if tonight works for a pickup.

My Copperband is an Aiptasia monster and also eats frozen, pellets, flakes and Nori, but that is definitely the exception... He may look copper but he is 24 karat gold.

Just lucky I guess...I traded for him (got him from Poseidon/Brandon) eating frozen and a few pellets. I tried putting a frag with some Aiptasia in to supplement his diet since they have a reputation for eating great then suddenly dying after about a year which usually indicates a dietary issue... And he went crazy for them so now I buy a frag or rock every once in a while that is infested just to supplement his diet. And the bonus is, those pieces tend to come cheap! LOL

I have a few in my tank aswell I seen a video of a guy boiling hot hot water then grab a Turkey baster and blast it with very hot water do it 2-3 times in a row when it gets small and closed up the last time you blast it with hot water and your turkey baster is empty quick try to suck it up and it should relece no problem I was very impressed i haven't tried it yet but I did see the whole vid very cheap and easy it's worth a try !

thanks Luke, I have been successful getting rid of them with vinegar but, these things are on the back side of a rock. I don't want to rip the tank apart but if I have to I will.. just not sure where they are coming from, that is the frustrating part...

Yes that sounds very frustrating I bought a rock with 8 nice mushroom on it but it came with 2 on them and they doubled in size but thankfully I haven't seen the spread
