Mine is fed entirely off copepods. He will also accept frozen mysis on occasion if the flow is low enough. They love live blackworms, soaked in garlic, check your local freshwater fish store.

Mine ate mysis at the store ( I seen myself) but he's been eating spaghetti worms the past few days and feather dusters so when they run out i hope he wil lest the mysis

Mine went stupid for small frozen clams. Drop it in frozen and they'll work to get it open. Kinda cool to watch.

what else do you have in the tank, I bought a clam for mine and the other fish devoured it and the cbb didn't get any (?)... Mysis has no nutrients in it... one didn't make it and the other is still hanging in there but he's not doing a great job on the aptasia either... there were some other post a while back when I was asking about mine...

It's a 40 gallon tall with ALOT of flow ! He's just a baby , very small but I have been battling spaghetti worms ( not that they hurt anything they are actual filter feeders like sponges etc,) so he's been making him self a feast and eating them all ! And someday he will be for sale lol

Go grab one of those fresh bags of live mussels. Freeze them, drop in tank daily with your normal feedings. Pick out empty shells next day. Fish just love them and they are cheap to buy.

My Copperband eats frozen Hikari Mysis and has since we got him. He has grown to twice the size he was when I first picked him up. He is one of the first fish I bought when I set up my reef tank for my Garden Eel. Sadly my Garden Eel passed away a couple of weeks ago after 6 years but my copperband is still going strong. :)

my cbb is eating frozen food but, my concern is that I have been told that there is not a lot of value and that's why some don't survive...

Interesting , so I use to feed chunks of fresh shrimp for my duncan coral and my hoevens liked IT but I stopped because I was told of the bad juices in it , wouldn't the clam be the same issue ? ( just need someone to clear that up)

Mysis is fine, its brine you're thinking of that has no nutrition.
