so if im correct...normally sponges are beneficial right?  They are filter feeders...that may eat up some nutrients before the algae gets it or is more like a coral in the way it uses nutrients

yes keep it it is good.

i got some of that but kinda beigh in color, under my nuclear zoas, seems to take for ever to grow, but still grows faster than my zoas....

yes sponge can be many different colours and will grow vary slow !!! i have bright blue bright green black and also White sponge
