Why Are We Being Told 7.8 Ph Is Fine?

Who told me what, that 7.8 and up is fine. Well all most any book or post on the topic and specially if you run a Cal reactor.

most say a range meaning either above or below and your gonna have issues .since we dont know what the perfect level is they cant specify so our best guess is 8.4 is optimal but give or take a bit and you can still be successful

mine always runs between 8.0 and 8.2, I've always wondered who decided that was the prefect number..
