Same Kenya tree coral from the 6 gallon (which is now the 10 gallon). I'm hoping I can keep a few softies/leathers in the 125. I've had this coral for about 3-4 years now. It was doing super well when I first got it and up till the two year mark, but then I decided to try harder to care for corals that need pristine water parameters and it started going down hill... I'm hoping that I can revive it and maybe even turn it into a forest. I know lots of people aren't crazy about the Kenya tree coral but it's honestly one of my favourites.

Also moved my strawberry conch over, figured the nassarius snails could handle the 10 gallon by themselves.

I switched the double headed power head with the left power head, and moved the single power head more towards the center, I'm getting great water breakage at the surface, but I really just want my Kenya tree to stand up

if you agitate the surface like that you'll get alot more evaporate. which isnt bad for the fish, but will require more frequent top ups.
I would think two on opposite corners pointing straight ahead would be sufficient, creating sort of a circular water movement.

Thanks, I've been playing around with them a bit and finally stumbled on something that's working. Enough surface agitation to do what it's supposed to but not as much as before, and not so much direct flow that the Kenya tree is actually starting to stand up.

Looks awesome! Love seeing the updates. I was also going to put a background, I was going to go solid blue, but never got around to it. Also I was going to either velcro a fabric skirt around the stand (wifes idea), or velcro laminate. Gives it a nice finish. Keep the updates coming!

Thanks!! I'm definitely going to put a background one of these days lol and the fiancé thinks it would be neat to build some panels around the stand .. he's the handy one so.. guess we'll see.

I love posting updates and pictures. I'm so glad that I have "fish friends" now, all my non fish friends think I've gone completely off the deep end.

No....please take it down! My number one rule in decorating a home is "You shall not put up a car picture". It belongs only in a garage, man cave (not my man cave though), and dorm rooms :(

Lol, we had to switch it out as before we put the tank there we had a much bigger Ferrari picture... If I put all the car pictures in the garage where would our two camaro hoods go?
