I just came across Big Al's Boxing week sale online. Salt deal is no where near where it normally is and I am kind of upset. IO $39.99* (reg. $64.99) and IO RC $49.99* (reg. $74.99).
2013 IO was $24.99* and IO RC was $34.99*.
2015 IO $34.99* (reg. $59.99) and IO RC $39.99* (reg. $69.99).

I think the US/CAN dollar may play into that?

I still think it's a good deal (look at me I'm such a shill) :)

Exchange rate is the exact same as last year at this time. $1USD = $1.33CAD

Sucks when I am looking at 10 buckets at 49.99 when I was anticipating 10 at $34.99.
That is aprrox $499.99+tx = $569.99 vs $349.99+tx = $398.99
Almost a $200 difference.

i was anticipating the same price too. I was looking to get 10-15 buckets. There's no way I would pay 49.99. Angelfins in Guelph sells them reg for 52.99....

I'm sorry the prices aren't as low as years before. Unfortunately that is out of my hands. I did hear something about manufacturers not giving us a better price this year on the amount that we buy. Which causes a trickle down effect. If our head office doesn't get the amount of savings they are hoping for then they have nothing to pass down to us. Years before we actually lose money on every bucket we sold as we have to pay for delivery to our store and royalty fees to the corporation.

I wish I had a better answer

I was just hoping that maybe there was a mistype lol. I appreciate the answer. There was no stipulation on the boxing day advert, it just says $49.99 after mail-in rebate. @Big_Als_London - Do you know what the retail price will be this year prior to the mail-in rebate and what the stipulations are this year? I just need to know as I have a few other things on my to get list and I need to budget a lot more closely now.

I'm afraid that we're going to hold YOU personally responsible for decisions made by the corporation and Instant Ocean...:p

The second picture is the 2013 price. Last year you would have paid $44.99 and got a 10 dollar rebate.

Holy crap you are right, I just took the last one posted. Damn. I will fix it up when I get home. But either way, if we paid 44.99 in store, then the $10 mail in rebate, it would be $34.99*(*after mail in) as listed. This year it is $50*(*after mail in rebate)

What are we paying in store this year?

Its 49.99 before mail in rebate unless you are talking about reef crystals which was 54.99 last year plus the mail in rebate.

Okay, to be honest and official, I found the 2015 ad for boxing day. (Confirmed date on the bottom.) I updated the OP as well with my mistake.

Last year IO was $34.99* (*after mail in rebate) and IO RC was $39.99* (*after mail in rebate).
So this year IO is $39.99* (*after mail in rebate) and IO RC is $49.99* (*after mail in rebate).
Assuming that the rebate is still $10, so in store will be $59.99? Limit of 4 per household still as well for the rebate? I think 'my mother-in-law' will be buying me a few ;) Also, can we call any time through the week to order, or is it just the 26th?

Also in the big als flyer ( I called the barrie location but they couldn't help me ) I noticed only certain tanks are listed. Are the standard tanks going to be on sale ( I would figure so )
